This spreadsheet includes a pull down menu for any specialty or PMD that is on call for that day. You can add specialties or MD's as needed. The pull down menu for the doctor's name automatically selects that person's phone number in the column next to it. It can be saved on a server into a public folder for all floors in the hospital to view.Time saver for the ER and Hospitals to not have to write out every night who is on call for the next day. Once you have put in all of your MD's phone numbers then you must have the column that lists the numbers select from the correct list of phone numbers. Just change the column & row numbers for the first row only, leaving the $ signs alone. Then grab the lower right corner - your outlined plus will turn into a line plus + then drag in down thru all of you MD's on the list. The $ sign eliminates Excel from using Relative Cell Referencing and will cause it to use Absolute Cell Referencing, thus maintaining the list data correctly. You must also use data - validation with the MD lists for each speciality in order to have the pull down menu select the correct MD's. I would advise protecting the sheet by selecting all the cells and locking them - then unlocking only the ones needed to change the MD names on the list, then pasword protecting the sheet.
